You might not know this but our Papa is the Dragon Keeper of a special place called Dragon Green that's right out of Drifter Park. I'm going to tell you a story about something my Papa told me.

One day not too long ago, right on the other side of town–or should I say for all of you other humans–right on the other side of the clouds, there was a dragon named Klima (which means "child") who was like any other. Hold on a second. Before I tell you this story, I have to stop and explain some things because most humans don't understand about dragons. First, you need to know that dragons are real and they live in a town in the clouds called Dragon Green Ville. That might seem weird, but just stick with me. In this town are dragons and mermaids and fairies and drifters. (Drifters are small creatures that ride on the backs of dragons and they help people in need. I actually have three that are my pets. One is the Drifter King.)

So the dragon I am telling you about in this story, Klima, lives in the town with all the others. Klima is a normal dragon, but she is known for her very pretty scales. Last December 14th, Klima got very sick and found out she had a very serious disease called Leukemia. Leukemia is a serious sickness and the treatment is called Chemotherapy. Chemotherapy makes you get well, but it also makes dragons lose their scales (and humans lose their hair).

Klima's mama was very worried when she found out that her little dragon was sick, and she tried to do everything she could to help Klima get better. She also felt bad because Klima lost her beautiful scales and felt different. Even though the little dragon felt bad about getting sick and losing her scales, Klima got better. All of Klima's friends were happy because they missed their friend. They wanted to help their friend and wondered what they could do. They couldn't think of much, so they looked up what they could do in the Interscale (that's the dragon's Internet). All of the little dragon friends found out they could donate some of their scales to make Klima feel pretty again. (They found this out after seeing that a little mermaid donated her left fin to her sister when she was sick like Klima!) Klima's friends talked to her mama about donating their scales, and Klima's mama thought it was a great idea. They gave their scales to the little dragon's Scaleian-Therpist so they new scales could be sewn on.

It is now a year later the little dragon has the most beautiful new scales! They are bright and shiny and in all the colors of the rainbow. (Most of the dragons say that Klima's new scales are even prettier than her old ones.) Even better, all of the dragons in Dragon Green Ville have started a group for the dragons, mermaids, fairies and drifters to raise awareness about Leukemia and help when one of them gets sick!

You know, I'm really proud of little Klima and all of her friends. Humans can help kids with Leukemia and any cancer too. Check in your town about growing your hair and donating it to make wigs for kids with no hair. You could get a bunch of friends together to do this and then all go together when you cut your hair. Send us pictures of before and after your haircuts. And don't stop there! You can raise money by going on a cancer walk and get your parents involved. And probably the greatest thing to do is to go and visit kids in the hospital that are sick with cancer. Just sit and be with them. They may be sick, but they are still just kids! Kids gotta be with kids to help them!
